Our Beliefs

We believe the Holy Bible to be the inspired, infallible, and authoritative Word of God.

All scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness: That the man of God may be perfect, thoroughly furnished unto all good works.

2 Timothy 3:16-17 KJV | John 14:6 | Galatians 3:10-11 | 2 Peter 1:20-21 | Revelation 22:18-19

We believe that the one God eternally exists in three persons: The Father, the Son, and the Holy Ghost.

And Jesus, when he was baptized, went up straightway out of the water: and, lo, the heavens were opened unto him, and he saw the Spirit of God descending like a dove, and lighting upon him: 17And lo a voice from heaven, saying, This is my beloved Son, in whom I am well pleased.

Matthew 3:16-17  KJV | Deuteronomy 6:4 | Mark 12:28-34 | Matthew 28:19-20 | John 15:26 | 2 Corinthians 13:14

We believe in the deity of our Lord Jesus Christ, in His virgin birth, in His sinless life, in His miracles, in His vicarious and atoning sacrifice through His shed blood, in His bodily resurrection, in His ascension to the right hand of the Father, and in His personal return in power and glory.

But that ye may know that the Son of man hath power on earth to forgive sins, (then saith he to the sick of the palsy,) Arise, take up thy bed, and go unto thine house.  7And he arose, and departed to his house.  8But when the multitudes saw it, they marveled, and glorified God, which had given such power unto men.

Matthew 9:6-8 KJV | Matthew 1:23 | Matthew 24:29-36 | Matthew 27:32-56 | Acts 1:9-12

We believe that for salvation of lost and sinful men, regeneration by the Holy Ghost is absolutely essential.

A new heart also will I give you, and a new spirit will I put within you: and I will take away the stony heart out of your flesh, and I will give you an heart of flesh.  27And I will put my spirit within you, and cause you to walk in my statutes, and ye shall keep my judgments, and do them.

Ezekiel 36:26-27 KJV | John 3:5-6 | John 14:26

We believe that justification, regeneration, and the new birth are wrought by faith in the blood of Jesus Christ.

Much more then, being now justified by his blood, we shall be saved from wrath through him.

Romans 5:9 KJV | John 14:6 | Romans 5:1-9

We believe in sanctification subsequent to the new birth, through faith in the blood of Jesus Christ, through the word, and by the Holy Ghost.

But we are bound to give thanks always to God for you, brethren beloved of the Lord, because God hath from the beginning chosen you to salvation through sanctification of the Spirit and belief of the truth: 14Whereunto he called you by our gospel, to the obtaining of the glory of our Lord Jesus Christ.

2 Thessalonians 2:13 KJV | 1 Thessalonians 1:3-6 | 2 Timothy 2:21

We believe that the full Gospel includes holiness of heart and life, healing for the body and the baptism in the Holy Ghost with the initial evidence of speaking in other tongues as the Spirit gives utterance.

And suddenly there came a sound from heaven as of a rushing mighty wind, and it filled all the house where they were sitting.  3And there appeared unto them cloven tongues like as of fire, and it sat upon each of them.  4And they were all filled with the Holy Ghost, and began to speak with other tongues, as the Spirit gave them utterance.

Acts 2:2-4 KJV | Matthew 3:11 | Acts 1:5 | 1 Peter 1:15-16

We believe in the present ministry of the Holy Ghost, by who’s indwelling the Christian is empowered to live a Godly life.

In whom ye also trusted, after that ye heard the word of truth, the gospel of your salvation: in whom also after that ye believed, ye were sealed with that holy Spirit of promise, 14Which is the earnest of our inheritance until the redemption of the purchased possession, unto the praise of his glory.

Ephesians 1:13-14 KJV | 2 Corinthians 1:22 | 2 Corinthians 5:5 | 1 Peter 2:9

We believe in water baptism by immersion and all who repent should be baptized in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost.

Go ye therefore, and teach all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost: 20Teaching them to observe all things whatsoever I have commanded you: and, lo, I am with you always, even unto the end of the world. Amen.

Matthew 28:19-20 KJV | Acts 2:38 | Acts 4:31

We believe in the celebration of the Lord’s Supper and Washing of the Saint’s Feet.

He riseth from supper, and laid aside his garments; and took a towel, and girded himself.  5After that he poureth water into a basin, and began to wash the disciples’ feet, and to wipe them with the towel wherewith he was girded.

John 13:4-5 KJV | Genesis 18:4 | Matthew 26:26-28 | John 6:53-54 | John 13:1-17 | 1 Corinthians 10:17 | 1 Corinthians 11:26

We believe in the pre-millennial second coming of Jesus Christ: first, to resurrect the righteous dead and to catch away the living saints to Him in the air; second, to reign on the earth one thousand years.

And I saw thrones, and they sat upon them, and judgment was given unto them: and I saw the souls of them that were beheaded for the witness of Jesus, and for the word of God, and which had not worshipped the beast, neither his image, neither had received his mark upon their foreheads, or in their hands; and they lived and reigned with Christ a thousand years.  5But the rest of the dead lived not again until the thousand years were finished.  This is the first resurrection.  6Blessed and holy is he that hath part in the first resurrection: on such the second death hath no power, but they shall be priests of God and of Christ, and shall reign with him a thousand years.

Revelation 20:4-6 KJV | Matthew 24:29-31 | Revelation 1:7 | Revelation 20:1-6

We believe in the bodily resurrection; eternal life for the righteous, and eternal punishment for the wicked.

And these shall go away into everlasting punishment: but the righteous into life eternal.

Matthew 25:46 KJV | Psalm 9:17 | Isaiah 25:8-12 | 2 Corinthians 5:8 | Revelation 21:8
